Prof. Alain Cappy is Professor of Electronics an Electrical Engineering at the University of Lille, France. His main research interests are concerned with the modeling, fabrication and characterization of nanometer size devices for future applications in communication and information technologies. He is author or co-author of about 200 scientific papers and communications and he gave 25 invited papers in international conferences and workshops. From 2002 to 2009, he was director of the Institute of Electronics, Microelectronics and Nanotechnology (IEMN, www.iemn.fr ) a research institute that gathers more than 250 scientists and 160 PhD students. Prof. Cappy was principal investigator in many national and european projects and he is coordinating the RENATECH network for the CNRS since 2009.
