Ecosystems Technology and Design for Nanoelectronics

Daniel Donoval (M’97) received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electronics from the Slovak University of Technology, Bratislava, Slovakia, in 1976 and 1981, respectively. _x000D_ Since 1981, he has been with the Department of Microelectronics, Slovak University of Technology, where he is currently a Professor and the Director of the Institute of Electronics and Photonics. His research interests include the technology and characterization of semiconductor structures and devices supported by 2/3-D modeling and simulation. He is the author and/or coauthor of more than 200 papers published in international journals and conference proceedings. Prof. Donoval served for several years in technical and/or steering committees of many international conferences and workshops including Advanced Semiconductor Devices and Microsystems (ASDAM), Workshop on Compound Semiconductor Devices and Integrated Circuits (WOCSDICE), European Workshop on Microelectronics Education (EWME), Microelectronic System Education (MSE). He is a reviewer of several international journals and grant agencies. Dr. Donoval is a Member of the Scientific Community Council and Education and Training Coordination Board of the European Technology Platform ENIAC.
